Indiana John Weber here---can't resist any longer--We loved the rec by Rick Steves--The Lime Tree Inn--see net---VERY SHORT walk to Buckingham Palace AND Victoria Station--very reasonable by London standards--is a B&B like---with breakfast of course--and a VERY helpful staff--is small & intimate--great restaurant next to it..You can not go wrong--believe me. Thanks to you who recommended some favorite places. The Harlingford Hotel responded and had a room, so I'll be trying that out this time.
From the sound of postings lately, I should pop over from London to Switzerland for my meals! I'll just have to console myself with Indian food.
