We are preparing to go to the Swiss Heartland in June. This will be  
our first Untour. I love to cook so this new thread is really  
interesting to me. Also, we are taking two teenagers with us so food  
is bound to be of primary importance. I remember that I loved rosti  
when we were in Switzerland 8 years ago. I never had vegetable. It  
sounds wonderful. Since we will be staying in Hohfluh I will  
certainly try the Brunig Hotel.

On our former trip to Switzerland I discovered mache and have been  
growing and eating it ever since. It grows all winter here in PA. I  
have so much in the cold frame I give it away to friends and family.  
I took it to a New Year's Eve party as a hostess gift for a good  
friend and fellow cook. She loves the stuff and if you can find it in  
the store it costs a fortune.

Does anyone know if the famous bakery in Hohfluh is open again? I  
understand it was closed three years ago.
