[Idyllchat] hotels in milan and florence

Donna,

Can't help much on Milan because when I went there (often) on 
business we would either stay out in Pregnana or at the Hilton 
downtown, likely an expensive option (was a good hotel, though). The 
primo hotel used to be the Excelsior, next to the Central Train 
Station. I'm sure others can give you recommendations.

As for Florence, we stayed twice at the Pendini which Untours 
recommends, and the last time with four of us. They have a nice 
enclosed suite of two rooms with a separate bath that worked well for 
us. Good, helpful staff and a great location on a great piazza (della 
Repubblica), a few blocks from almost everything.
