[Idyllchat] day trips from Paris

You can take day trips easily from Paris by train to Rouen and Giverney
(Monet's home and garden) on the same day, Versailles and Chartres where
there is another great cathedral and pleasant walk along the river in the
old town.
Mont. St. Michel in Normandy can be reached by one of the local tour
companies but it is a long day there and back.
But, if you have not been there it is well worth the effort.
