First come first serve: The Holland Untour in peak tulip season this year!
Due to a cancellation, Untours has two openings in Holland for peak
tulip season! Of all our destinations, the Dutch Untour in spring is
always booked furthest in advance. We are filling up for 2008, and
we already have reservations for 2009, so this opportunity is almost
unheard of. Since availability is so limited, we're offering it to our
beloved Idyllchatters first.
Available for April 25-May 9, and May 9-May 23, is the Vermeer apartment
in Leiden: http://www.untours.com/prop.asp?SID=3311
Prices start at $1599 per person (double occupancy) for the Ground Only
package. Airfare Included packages start at $2289.
These apartments will go fast, so call us right away at 888-868-6871,
and ask for anyone on the Dutch Untour team.
Leiden, an eminently livable town just half an hour from Amsterdam, is
the perfect spot for tulip-watching. The direct trains from there to
Haarlem go straight through the technicolor tulip fields, and the
breathtaking Keukenhof garden, open through May 20, is only a bus ride away.
Plus, there's so much more to do besides take in the tulips! The
Netherlands also offers picturesque towns, superb museums, beautiful
canals, windmills, excellent bicycling and exuberant flower exhibits.
You'd need more than two weeks just to visit all the major museums.
Nearby cities include Amsterdam, Delft, The Hague, Rotterdam, Haarlem,
Utrecht, and Gouda. Even brief ventures to Brugges (3 hours) and
Brussels (2.5 hours) are possible. There is surely no single place in
Europe with more world-class museums per square mile than Holland:
Leiden alone has 12 museums! Others not to be missed are the Van Gogh
Museum and Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, Kröller-Müller Museum, Porcelain
Factory in Delft, Mauritshuis in The Hague, Boymans-Van Beuningen Museum
in Rotterdam. The windmills that everyone thinks of when they think of
Holland are close by: Molenmuseum "De Valk" in Leiden, and the
Kinderdijk between Rotterdam and Dordrecht.
