Karen,

Untours should handle getting you from the Rome airport to the rental  
car place in Spoleto. We were on the Umbria Untour last October and  
that was the way it worked. We had been in Italy for a few days first  
but just had to go the Rome airport to meet our local person.

There are internet locations though out most of the towns of any size  
in Umbria.  The guidebook and tour book that  Untours sends you has  
suggested day trips - more than you will be able to do in your two  
weeks there. In addition to the Cadogan guidebook supplied by  
Untours, we found the Lonely Planet Tuscany and Umbria book to be  
quite useful.

We did not stay at Girasole, so cannot comment on it. Any other  
questions about Unbria, I would be happy to try to answer. It is a  
great area and I am sure you will have a fantastic time.
