I have another question related to what is permissable in your carry-on for an international flight.  I understand you can take one quart size zip lock bag containing  items that are liquids or gels in your carry own luggage.

My questions is-can you also take on your medications, etc as long as they are in their original containers?  If so, can they, or must they, also be in a zip lock bag?  Must it be the same zip lock bag?

 We are flying Lufthansa.
