[Idyllchat] Rome rental car dropoff/Termini or Airport?

Hi All,
    We are making plans for our October trip to Northern Tuscany.... Can't wait! We are picking up our car at the Pisa Airport but will be dropping the car at a rental spot in Rome.  Since I have heard so much about the pleasures of driving in Italy ~ I am wondering how easy it would be to drop the car at the Termini.... OR if the Airport is the way to go???
     We are staying at a Convent about 10 minutes from the Colosseum so it seems much more convenient to drop the car at the Termini. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
