Hi Patricia,
  We've just returned from a month+ trip to Rome, Sicily, Sardinia. Had a car in Sicily and Sardinia and also depended on the Travel Insured coverage as we have many times in the past. We found driving in Sicily a bit more trying than most places and had a few "almost" scrapes during rush hours in cities and towns especially on the round abouts. However they always missed us, or we them, sometimes by the width of the paint on the car it seemed. But I still agree with Bob about not having redundant coverage.

We will have a car on our Idyll Untour in France in July and we are going to depend on the coverage provided by Travel Insured.  We are not going to buy the CDW sold by the car rental company -- 
don't like redundant insurance.   The risk is having to pay "out of pocket" for any damages and then get all the paper work together to file a claim with Travel Insured.   
I have never had to use the CDW included with Travel Insured.
