Marcia,
Here is an item that showed up on the Rick Steves' grafitti wall.
They have a new area for Q&A that is pretty interesting.

How do you find a great private tour guide? Preferrably one that has
a tolerance for an active, inquisitive 10 year old boy. My friends
tell me a private tour in Rome and Paris would be better than a group
tour when traveling with my son. We are also traveling to Venice and
London but I was thinking we could manage those without a private
tour. Your thoughts and input are welcomed!! Thank you, Ruth

Ruth, I just posted this information on the Italy board, but you
might not see it there so, I'll repeat it here: I've found Rich Brunn
to be excellent--energetic, knowledgeable, able to tailor his talk
for different audiences and according to your preferences. He lives
and works in Rome and his website can be accessed at: http://www.rome-
day-tours.com/ Feel free to send me a message if you have questions.
