[Idyllchat] checking baggage

Just got back in town, so I am replying a little late. It is my  
understanding that luggage is no longer shipped direct to the US. (think 9/11).  Luggage 
is shipped from your home town in Switzerland to the baggage area at the  
airport. we have done this twice. It is still a big help because you don't have  to 
worry about lugging heavy suitcases on the train. We usually stay overnight  
in Zurich before we leave (St. Gotthard) and just have our little  overnight  
bag with us. The next morning we pick up our luggage at the  airport train 
station and just go up stairs to the plane counter. Very easy and  worthwhile.
