Our Untours vacation will be in Southern Tuscany (Buonconvento) in July. We are planning an overnight trip to Rome and have been debating the best way to get there. There are six of us traveling together and we will have a 9 passenger van. When investigating trains into Rome, it would cost about $400.00 round trip for the six of us. This seems high and we thought we might drive to the outskirts of Rome, park the car overnight, and find transportation into Rome for less than $400.
However, we can't find much information on how far to drive, where to park and at what cost, how to get into Rome from there, etc. So....we'd like to tap into the wealth of information here.
Is the driving plan possible or even practical?
Thank you in advance for your response!
Pam
