Hi! We recently returned from an Untour in Rome and
Southern Tuscany. Wonderful time! If you are looking
for a hotel near the Rome airport for a night, you
might want to try Hotel Roma www.hotel-roma.it. It is
not big and fancy but was clean and comfortable. It is
a five minute drive from the airport and only a few
blocks from the Mediterranean Sea. They have free
airport shuttle and free breakfast. We paid 220 euro
for a quad room (second bed was in a loft). We had a
nice balcony. There is a fabulous inexpensive Chinese
restaurant just a few blocks away if you are tired of
Italian food by then!

While in Florence we chanced upon a great little
Italian restaurant I'Brincello at 112 V. Nazionale.
Just a few blocks from the train/bus station. It was
full of Italians having a great time, the food was
great along with the price. I think we each paid 13
euro for two courses and a bottle of wine and a bottle
of water to share. We'd go back there in a heartbeat
if not for the wonderful food but for the fun
atmosphere! Carol
