I took a Hasselblad to Switzerland last year and was very happy I 
did.  We did a lot hiking too.  I think it depends on what kind of 
photographer you are and what you are used to shooting.  With film I 
think one takes more care in making photographs because of the more 
limited film resource as compared to digital.  Bring what you feel 
comfortable with and that will give you the kind of results you want.
