Plan to prepare meals which use little or no beef: chili beans, pizza,
baked chicken, stews, pasta, fish. Or plan your meals around vegetables
with small portions of pork or chicken. Beef is expensive in
Switzerland and is available in small portions in grocery stores.

Subject: [Idyllchat] Groceries in Swiss Heartland?

Hi,

We

are going on an untour in the Swiss heartland in a few weeks – Giswil to

be specific.  We are planning on doing most of our own cooking.  Does
anyone

have any advice about what types of food we should expect to find in
Swiss groceries?

Thanks,

Guy
