A wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, some of which you may
or may not recognize, many kids of dairy products and cheeses, meat
with a preponderance of veal and pork, lots of sausages, many dishes
ready to heat and serve, frozen foods of all kinds, Asian foods and
other ethnic foods, wonderful breads, and a lot of bottled beverages.
Giswil has no large grocery, but does have smaller ones and a great
butcher. Sarnen is about 12 minutes away and has two large
supermarkets, COOP and MIGROS.
Usually, you bag your own produce and weigh it at the site in a
machine that gives you a sticker to place on the bags. You can buy
grocery sacks, but there are no bag boys; you do it yourself. Save
the sacks to use again.

America is much safer with Teddy Kennedy as a senator than if he were
a taxi driver.
