Ouch! A year and a half ago I only paid 102 euros at the Quirinale. Sorry about that. Trastevere is absolutely delightful. I have had friends stay at a convent there very cheaply.

The Hotel Quirinale is indeed a splendid four star hotel dripping with old world charm but the price for a double is 239 Euro (c. $270?) and that's a bit too steep for me.

    James,
I loved the Hotel Quirinale. It has old world charm but with air conditioning and gorgeous bathrooms. It was steps away from a square with food, etc and an easy walk to Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain, etc.

      Hi -

We will be in Rome for four days starting Oct. 10. Hotel Lancelot, recommended by several of you, has no rooms for that time. Does anyone have any other suggestions for a
      well located hotel? Many thanks.

      Ann Jackson
