[Idyllchat] Hotels in Rome for Oct.

Next June will be my third visit to Rome, and this time I wanted to try the other side of the river...Trastevere, Vatican and Gianicola hill are all still within reach of the major sites.

I found exactly what I wanted at the Casa Franci...a three room B&B a stones throw from St Peter's and a view of the Gianicola Hill (one of the prime panoramic views of the city).  See http://www.casafrancibedandbreakfast.com/.

I immediately booked two rooms by emailing them directly.  I can't know if they have availability for this Oct., but nonetheless you might consider trying this side of the river...less cosmopolitan, less expensive, just as lovely.  Santa Maria in Trastevere is one of the oldest churches in Rome and one of the lovliest interiors....simple and elegant.
