yes - I had long talk with our local bank manager and even though the bank
is "customer oriented" they did not think that the 3% was something they
could wave for a 40 year customer - so I am looking at a local credit union
which only charges 1% -

No wonder the banks can afford to keep building an office on every other
corner!! 


Or do they build them, then have to come up with a way to pay for them??
