[Idyllchat] Vegetarian Options in Swiss Heartland?

Hi Alexandra,
We just returned from five weeks in Italy--Rome, Sicily, Sardinia--and for the first time I noticed vegetarian options on menus. Maybe they've always been there and I just didn't see them or it's a new trend. I don't know that this will be true in CH as I don't remember seeing vegetarian offerings as such when we were there but I'm sure they have them. There's a wealth of good things to eat that don't involve meat or fish. You're going to love it and so is he!

I am booking our first Untour for next summer in the Heartland. One of my sons, age 15, is a vegetarian. He does eat eggs and dairy (ovo-lacto), but absolutely no meat, poultry, or seafood. Other than the delightful cheeses, will there be real options for him when dining out?

I have read much on the list archives - what a wonderful resource this list is! But I've yet to see this question... :)

Thanks,
Alexandra
