Pamela: We have traveled in the Dordogne area and have been both to the
beautiful city of Sarlat as well as Domme. I don't know that United
would have any flights closer than maybe to Paris on which you could use
your FF miles, but you can easily get Easyjet from Paris to either
Toulouse (an hour south of Sarlat) or Bordeaux, to the west. Or if you
fly into London Gatwick you can also get an Easyjet flight from there to
either city, where you could rent your car. Personally I think the
drive up from Toulouse is much prettier and probably easier, and you
would see the towns of Cahors and Rocamadour on the way. It is about 100
miles.

Check out www.easyjet.com for their flight schedules. We have used them
many times and they are a very good and dependable "no-frills" European
airline. And of course you could also ride the TGV train from Paris to
either Toulouse or Bordeaux (Paris to Bordeaux is about 3 hours).
