[Idyllchat] Credit Card Charging Method

Bob,
That may be a common practice for credit unions. Ours is a local one
in Michigan and they do not charge for any foreign ATM use. I have
never been charged a fee by a local bank either for international
use and have used it in at half a dozen European countries and Canada.

My sister just left for Mexico and called her bank to inform them
that she would be traveling there. She found out that they will
charge her a 3% fee for foreign ATM transactions! It appears that her
bank (National City) has decided to grab the same fee that most of
the MC and Visa places are for foreign transactions.
