Hello Elaine,

My husband and I stayed at the Bonnington Hotel, about 2 blocks away  
from the British museum, in November, and it was wonderful. A hearty  
English breakfast is included (but you can also have yogurt and  
toast) for about 75 pounds a night for two. There's Internet access  
for a small fee. The rooms weren't spacious, but very comfortable and  
the bathroom was spotless.
