  My wife and I stayed at Chalet Berit for a month April - May, 2004.  You 
can view my incomplete triplog/slideshow
  by logging onto www.untours,com.  Click on "Unpoints".  Then click on 
"View Triplogs and Slideshows".  My triplog/slideshow is on page 3, Swiss 
Heartland 1-14.  This should give you an idea of Sachseln and possible day 
trips you may consider.  I list the travel times and restaurants we ate at, 
as well as the cost of the meals and our impressions.  You should get a good 
idea of what sights you may want to visit.
