Thanks for the update, Vance, re making a day trip to Luino from Meiringen.  
If we ever get back to the Heartland I'll put this on the agenda. That is,  
providing that we are able to rise at the crack of dawn! But Luino is  worth the 
effort and in addition to the fun flea market one can enjoy walking  along 
the lakefront and admiring the lovely Italian villas  that overlook the 
lakeside. Step inside one of courtyards for a  more intimate view.
