[Idyllchat] Switzerland

Hi Jeanne:  I know several women who travel to Switzerland, Austria and 
beyond, solo.  This year in Sachseln we will see a friend who has shared 
several Untour trips at the same time.  And, another, who we will meet in 
person for the first time, after sharing Idyll e-mails for several years.

The first solo Untourist we met was many years ago at the airport in Los 
Angeles.  We used to be able to spot Untourists by a red travel document 
holder.  I introduced myself and we shared travel chatter.  She was somewhat 
apprehensive, but wasn't going to wait any longer to see the world.  She 
left us at Zurich and we met her three weeks later as we headed back to LA. 
Long story short, she had a fabulous time, and would be going again as soon 
as she could sign up.

If this would be your first Untour you will find Untourists very friendly, 
helpful, and inclusive.  You have no doubt read stories in trip logs of 
friendly landlords--and Untours will help you find a good match if you are 
single.  Some of the activities during the term will be with a group (only 
if you choose to participate).  Taking the train, you always run into 
someone you met at the orientation, and you can share travel tips.

Some of my best adventures were traveling alone on business!   First trip 
London to Paris, overnight, on a train,, sharing a bedroom with a woman from 
Scotland who owned a sheep farm.  From then on there was no stopping me.
