[Idyllchat] Right vacation in Normandy

Vance,
Several years ago we visited Arromanches when we were on a Rick
Steves tour through that area. If you haven't been there, I would
highly recommend it. There is some very significant WW II history
associated with Arromanches that is given scant coverage in American
history texts. It was principally a British supply operation there.
From and engineering point of view, I found it fascinating.
Honfleur is also a very picturesque place to visit that is nearby. Of
course, Mont St. Michel is also a famous place that is not far from
Bayeux.
