Hi Betty,

You will love the Swiss Heartland Untour, so much to see and do.  As for Ticino, I would suggest an overnight trip.  Again much to see and do, bus tours up the valleys, castles in Bellinzonia, Locarno and Lugano, you could easily spend two nights in the area.

Along with some friends I was on the Ticino Untour in 2005, had a wonderful time.  If you care to hear more contact me.

  We are taking the Swiss Heartland tour...the apartment is in Sachsein.  Need to know how far it is to Ticino.  Is it a day trip (there and back with some sightseeing and shopping) , or should we spend the night there?
