Hi Beth,
  Joan is right. You're so busy doing things the journal somehow gets overlooked. I usually do journal--or did--but the last few trips have been journal free. Maybe you'll be the exception! We especially enjoyed Ascona and a trip on the Glacier Express (express is a misnomer but incredibly beautiful) and we really enjoyed a few days in Zermatt--touristy but the Matterhorn does seem to compel your eyes to constantly return to it. Especially wonderful at sunrise and sunset. We were there during a heat wave and were seeking cooler climes. Took lots of boat trips and funicular--cable car--ski lifts to the tops of mountains. There are entertainment venues and markets in town you'll not want to miss. Spending time along the lake is always restful and pleasant.   Hi - we're planning a trip (late Aug/early Sept) to Ticino and staying in the Bonalumi apartment.  Any suggestions on things to do / places to see would be most appreciated.  I've reviewed trip logs but there do not seem to be an abundance of them for this region.  I wonder why ?
