[Idyllchat] Bali, anyone?

My wife and I visited Bali for a week about 15 years ago. It was a  
delightful experience.  The people were all welcoming, kind and  beautiful.  We had the 
advantage of being accompanied by an American friend  who had been doing 
business with the Balinese for years and had a wide  acquaintanceship.  I met many 
of them through him.  One gave a large  outdoor party on our honor with 
mountains of food and entertainment supplied by  his daughters who danced Balinese 
style in this private show.  The  countryside is lush. They seem to have a 
daily festival with people colorfully  garbed in flower garlands parading down 
the narrow byroads and lanes.  For  them, the gods are everywhere in nature and 
therefore they have a high respect  for their environment.  Music and dancing 
are everywhere.  You might  want to look here for further on this subject

For most of our stay, we avoided the main tourist centers which are  
completely foreign to the Balinese atmosphere.  If you prefer that, you  might as well 
go to someplace closer to home.
