Hi there,
I see, this is indeed a very interesting discussion for you US-citizens!
Well, I'm Swiss, but when we used to live in Charleston, SC for a couple of
years, the first thing we bought was a coffeemaker! A real one! That time
Jura was not as common as today, so we chose a Espresso-machine from
"Starbucks". It worked just great! Well, I like the way may machine now here
in Switzerland is working, graining the beans freshly before brewing, all
automatically, but the one we had there from Starbucks was just fine. I
think, the most important is: real good coffee beans! I had much more stress
to find them! And for good taste and a nice foam it's very important how the
temperature is and the quality of water! You might filter your water so it's
really free of any taste at all!
You see, as much as you are discussing about coffee machines, I would really
like to have a real "Kitchen aid"- machine for my cuisine! They are sooooo
expensive here, and, of cores, I like the silver one the best (the most
expensive one, hahaha!)
Well, after all that talking, I will go and have a fresh - nice cup of
coffee, freshly grained and brewed on my Swiss coffee maker!
And for all of you: They say coffee prices in restaurants are going up to 5
Swiss bucks next year - so I will enjoy my homemade coffee even more!
Cheers!
Greetings from Heartland
Connie
