True enough about Starbucks!  When we were in Bern this August, I was dying for a Cafe Mocha to warm me up after a day in the rain, but the line was out the door and populated by people who made me feel old, fat, and badly dressed.
I opted for a hot chocolate at Burger King instead and made coffee when we got home.
