[Idyllchat] Swiss coffee makers

Jan and Ken have hit the nail on the head!  It's the coffee, and that is what we bring home each trip.  And, if you are a wiley shopper during your stay, you may find your favorite brand on sale.  We take home 5/500gram packages.  At Chalet Berit, we have a plain old Migros "drip" with a "gold" filter (from Albert Berit's plant).  Look forward to seeing the familiar old pot on our return in June.  

I've been looking at the posh Italian and German coffee makers that create steam, froth, etc.but have resisted so far.  Perhaps some other Untourist may have a more helpful answer.  Cheers.  Joan.

  It seems that every Untour apartment we've been to has a different machine, some drip. some press, etc.  But the one thing that we find makes great Swiss coffee is the great Swiss coffee, not the machine.

    A few years ago we went on a Swiss Heartland Untour and my husband loved the coffee.  It seems to be made in a bit different coffee machine than the ones we have there - a bit foamy at the top.  He mentioned looking for one of these as a Christmas present to himself and I suggested putting this out to the IdyllChat group and seeing what suggestions people have.  Anyone have a Swiss style coffee machine they'd recommend?
