We also have first-hand experience with the insurance endorsed by Untours in their travel materials. We had to cancel our trip this fall to Italy less than a month before departure. Untours sent their end of the paperwork for the insurance along with their check and after we sent that and the required insurance form company sent a check for the amount not refunded by Untours within 2 weeks - no questions and no hassle. Well worth the small investment. We can now plan for Italy in the fall of 2008!

  I wanted to tell other Untourist about our experience with the insurance offered by Untours.  On Oct. 20, while in Locarno, Switzerland, I fell, breaking 3 bones in my foot and ankle.  2 weeks ago I sent in a claim for the Locarno hospital bill, interrupted travel (2 days) and the $400 fee for changing the airplane schedule.  Today I received checks for the total amount of the claim.  I was very pleased and surprised that it was settled so quickly.
