I too have the "anywhere in the world" Mobal phone, recently purchased through their website for $99.  That included adapters to recharge it from anywhere in the world which normally add about $25 at least to your cost.  No prepaid minutes are purchased - just the phone which you can keep forever, loan out to friends and relatives who take an occasional trip (if you're sure they repay your credit card charges), use in US for emergencies, etc.  A great deal for the traveler who just needs to 'stay in touch' through short calls.
