Although not the same as the muesli described by Vance, we enjoy sprinkling
a couple of scoops of home made granola over our other cereal for breakfast.
If you are interested in making your own granola, here is a recipe.

Doris' Granola

2 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
1/2 cup sliced or slivered almonds
1/2 cup sesame seed or pine nuts (optional)
1/2 cup sunflower seed
1/2 cup wheat germ
1 cup raisins, chopped apricots, craisins or
chopped dates or a mixture of these
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup olive or other oil

Thoroughly mix the first five ingredients in a 9" x 13"
pan. Whisk together the honey and oil and pour over
the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Heat in a 300
degree oven for 45-50 minutes, stirring several times,
until the mixture is slightly brown. Remove from oven
and transfer to a similar size pan to cool. Stir occasionally
to avoid clumping. When mixture is cool, stir in the dried
fruit. Store in an air tight container.

Enjoy!
