THis list is such a wonderful resource and deals with so many charming and 
rich restaurants, wines, and sites that I fear appear being a clod in asking 
about the modest but tempting places in the city of Florence itself.   We do not 
have time to tour Tuscany since we are, for most part, museum bound, and   
though guidebooks provide a wealth of civic information,we will treasure personal 
tips about the city itself--information like that in the recent postings 
about southern Tuscany.
