[Idyllchat] collapsible walking stick

Carole,  We have walking sticks from REI.  One of them "Four Winds" 
"Walking" four section has a removable handle.  With the handle removed 
it measures slightly under 21 inches.  With the handle in place the 
sticks each measure 22 1/4 inches and fit in our carry on size luggage 
when placed on the diagonal.
