Ed,
You can get accurate information about train schedules and
connections at: http://www.reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en
There is a publication "The Thomas Cook European Timetable" that is
published about every month or so. That is an exhaustive listing of
the European trains for most countries. It includes train, as well as
bus and boat connections, where appropriate. Years ago before the
internet I used that for an extensive train trip through several
European countries. I am not sure where you can purchase it in the
US. Fourteen years ago when I bought mine there was only one or two
outlets in the US that sold it. I am sure you could locate it via the
internet.
