I concur in this. Never, ever had a bad KLM flight. And Schipol was
the first airport I ever flew into within Europe and I have loved
Amsterdam, the Netherlands and particularly the very friendly Dutch
ever since. Once on a flight back home I asked a Dutchman seated next
to me how it was that the Dutch seemed to speak a fairly accent-free
English. He responded that it was because virtually all the European
language sounds occur in Dutch but not vice versa. Correspondingly,
Dutch is a difficult language for an English-speaking person to
pronounce because English lacks so many of those sounds.
