If by "transferring" you mean transferring to a connecting flight at
CDG, I have these comments.

 1. There are three terminals at CDG.

Terminal 1 handles international flights, excluding Air France.

Terminal 2 with five separate halls handles Air France and other
airlines flying to European destinations

Terminal 3 primarily used by EasyJet (I think)

 2. The three terminals are connected by free shuttle buses.

  3. To prepare myself to navigate between terminals to make a
connecting flight, I downloaded a map of the airport so that I would
know ahead of time the location of the free shuttle buses and the
location of the information desk where I could get help in English if I
required it. Here is one link to an airport map.

  4. In addition to the map, I used Rick Steves Paris. He has a really
good section with practical advice on navigating CDG.

Using the map of the airport and Rick Steves, I had no problem making
my flight connection to Spain. Notice I said I had no "problem" which
is not to say I had no stress. CDG is always stressful to me when I
have to change terminals to make a connecting flight. You DO NOT want a
tight connection. Allow plenty of time.

Meeting an Untour representative to go to a Paris apartment, however,
has always been a piece of cake.

Does anybody have any tips on transferring at CDG. My experiences
have not been good.
