By chance we just received this afternoon an Easter greeting from the 
management at this hotel on Lake Garda where we stayed in 2004 just a 
night or two.  It is on the west side of the lake, but there is ferry 
service all over the lake so it should be convenient to get to from the 
train line that is at the south end of the lake.  However, renting a car 
(or two) would be much more convenient to explore around this lake.  Go

pictures and complete information.  Unfortunately when we were there the 
weather was so smoggy all over that part of Italy that we could hardly 
see the lake, but as you can see it is a beautiful location.  We have 
also stayed in a small town on the east side of the lake that would be 
closer to Verona  called Torri del Benaco.  I remember eating a 
delicious seafood dinner at a small lakeside hotel there, but 
unfortunately can't remember the name of it.  However, here is a pretty
