PAYTV Billing Error Problem:
We stayed this year at the Hotel Allegra in Kloten near the Zurich airport both upon arriving and departing Switzerland. We noted on both occasions that about half the people checking out of the hotel each morning were billed for using the PayTV and claimed quite vehemently that this was not the case. The hotel manager would not budge and each was forced to pay the 20.50 CFH payment for presumabley having mistakenly pressed the wrong button while channel surfing. I presume this problem occurs in many European/U.S. hotels. Other than being warned about the problem, I'm not quite sure what you can do to protect yourself. I thought that by checking your room billing upon checkin to insure no "left-over" charges are in your room account, you could at least insure you were not inheriting someone else's PayTV bill. But, you still run the risk of touching the wrong key on the remote during your stay. Only foolproof method would seem to be not to even turn on the TV!!
British Air Lost/Delayed Baggage Phone Number:
I had two green tagged suitcases that were delayed in transfer from Heathrow to Zurich. I leaned from BA that the phone number to call from Switzerland to inquire about delayed/lost baggage is 058-158-8559.
