[Idyllchat] Paris Convention apartment

My husband and I stayed in Convention several years ago and enjoyed it very much. However, one bedroom was small and dark with no view which didn't bother us because we only used it for our suitcases. Otherwise the apt. was airy and nicely furnished. The neighborhood is just that - no tourists that we could see. It was fun to watch kids playing in the courtyard and folks coming back from work in the early evening and we felt very safe walking home at night. I agree with Linda about the friendly shopkeepers. My husband frequented the bakery next door twice a day and the ladies behind the counter came out to hug him when we said Goodbye.

We found the location convenient and had no difficulty getting everywhere. At that time, the husband of the woman who administers the apt. building was a taxi driver so the rainy morning we flew out of Paris we used his services - and stayed nice and dry as we got into the taxi with the suitcases in the underground garage. A great way to end a fun three weeks.

Can anyone tell me about the Paris Convention apartment? What area it located in? Did you like it?
I have stayed in Paris before, but am curious about this apartment.

  Thanks
