[Idyllchat] Packing for Switzerland

We left Zurich airport 10 days ago. My husband had all 10 of his  medications 
in their individual containers. It took up a lot of room in our  carry-on. He 
use to put 3 weeks of pills in a few containers to save room. I  convinced 
him to do otherwise this year. Good Idea!!!
We had to take each container of pills and put each in a separate baggy  
(supplied by security). All the tops were then thrown away.  I had assumed  that 
there would be another security check in at the gate. Nothing. Can anyone  out 
there tell me why the tops would be tossed? I am still trying to figure this  
out.
