[Idyllchat] Packing for Switzerland

Not a problem. Just squeeze a small amount of toothpaste in a small ziplock
bag. It just squishes, but works very well. Likewise, another bag with a
small amount of handcream. I tucked these into my paperback book. You are
ok with a small (1 oz. or les) lens fluid. Think you know that medications
must be in their proper container with the name that corresponds to the
traveler. No loosy pills in weekly containers.

Here is another idea. Two years ago there was a "giveaway" in the Luzern
bahnhof--"Oral-B Brush Aways". This is a flat cardboard package ( 5 x 3)
containing a portable paper cloth that fits on your index finger--you just
scrub away, and throw away. What an idea! I took it to my hygienist and
she was so excited. I "Googled" them, and at first glance it appears they
are available in Europe, but not US. Perhaps other Idyllers have come
across this item. (Probably stalled in US beaurocracy). I will order from
UK site if necessary.

One other caution. While the US site permits certain items going, coming
back can be another story. I had a scissors that TSA now permits (less than
1" blade) and the last check in the Munich airport took it away. It was
cheap, but lesson learned. Cheers. Joan.
