In September of 2005, we had a great experience staying at the Weiler
appartment in Oberwesel. It's very large and centrally located with easy
access to both the train and the K&D boat line. The host are gracious and
long time residents of the town. By sheer luck, we found ourselves there
during their Wine festival and their fabulous fireworks display, "Fire on
the Rhine. That display tops anything I've seen in the states, including
the 4th of July fireworks in DC. There are numerous restuarants to chose
from. Our favorite was Weiler House (no relation).
