I turned in a rental car in Rome that I picked up in Palermo, Sicily. It
was a real hassle to find the underground garage where rental cars are
returned in the city. It would be better if you returned it at the Airport
and then trained into Rome, which I have also done, and it's a breeze.
Happy traveling to one of the glory spots of the world!

Subject: [Idyllchat] Rome
We are going on an Untour to Rome for one week and
then on to Southern Tuscany for two weeks the middle
of April. Has anyone picked up their rental car in
Rome and returned it there? How much of a hassle is
it? I think we could opt to train to Florence and pick
it up there and deliver there but would incur the
added expense of the train. Any thoughts on this would
be appreciated. Also, we are arranging our own flights
and wonder about flying into Rome and out of Florence.
How do you do this when looking at Expedia (for
instance) for cheap fares? Thanks for any info you
care to share! Carol
