[Idyllchat] Experience with Tuscany North Properties

Patricia,

In late June/early July we stayed in the Alcova apartment, which is the 
other Untours apt. at the Villa Rosselmini in Calci. Our apt. sleeps 4 so is 
the largest of the three that Untours uses.  We were very happy there.  It's 
in a great location for walking into Calci and we enjoyed the swimming pool 
almost every day we were there.  Calci is a nice town that offers good 
grocery shopping and a few restaurants and is very manageable.  Our favorite 
restaurant was Il Barrino; simple, reasonable food with nice people.

We used the Untours airfare arrangements and were satisfied.  We opted to 
tack 3 nights in Rome on at the end of our stay so Untours nicely arranged 
flying into Pisa and out of Rome.  The one glitch we had was that our flight 
from Boston to Paris ended up being delayed which met that we missed the 
flight from Pisa to Paris.  My husband has a neice who lives with her family 
in Paris, so we ended up with most of a day in Paris and visited her.  It 
would have been a great chance to see our relatives except that we were all 
so jet lagged!  There aren't too many flights leaving Paris for Pisa, so be 
forewarned that if your international flight is delayed you might have a 
problem.  In spite of our arriving much later than scheduled, Cathy (the 
Tuscany North rep) met us at the Pisa airport and escorted us to our apt.

This was our second Untour, so we found ourselves comparing our Italian stay 
with our Swiss Heartland trip 2 years ago.  They were both great and both 
very different.  If you'd like ideas about sights to see in the area, please 
let me know.
