We stayed in Chalet Heimat in 1996 which was the year I took my first 
paraglide flight.  Details appear in our Triplog for that year.  Do you know 
how to access the Triplogs?  If not, I can give you instructions.

By all means take the reserved bus (available at the bahnhof) to Stalden in 
the Gasterntal and hike back to Kandersteg.  You can get lunch at the 
Waldhous hotel on the way back.

You will like Kandersteg.
